Snapper for Business
Screenshots, recordings and GIFs your IT team can trust. Nothing is uploaded, and every setting can be managed centrally.
Why IT teams choose it
No cloud, no uploads
Snapper has no upload feature. Captures stay on the PC, or go to the folder you choose.
Central deployment
A signed installer you can push with Intune. Settings work with Group Policy or Intune, and the Group Policy templates are included.
Settings IT can lock
Turn these on for every PC. People can't change them.
- Ephemeral Mode, always on
- Recording or GIFs, turned off
- Audio in recordings, turned off
- A fixed save folder
- The personal subscription, hidden
How it's deployed
- Install the signed package. TechXperts gives you the Snapper package. Push it with Intune, or install it by hand on one PC. There is no certificate to import.
- Push the company key. Set it with Group Policy or as a registry value. Every PC with the key gets Snapper Pro.
- Lock the settings you want. Each one is a single setting in Group Policy, or a registry value from Intune. Leave the rest for people to choose.
- Renew before the contract ends. Push the new key the same way. There is nothing to reinstall.
Small office? Automatic updates are an option. Open the App Installer file from TechXperts once, and Windows keeps Snapper up to date.
Read the IT guide for every step, setting and registry value.
Licensing
- Contracts of 1, 2 or 3 years, priced per seat. Request a quote for your number of seats.
- A reminder 30 days before the end date, so there is time to renew.
- 14 days of grace after it. Snapper Pro keeps working while you push the new key.
- Checked on each PC. The key is checked on the PC itself. There is nothing to sign in to.
What people see
Locked settings
A setting IT locks can't be changed. It shows "Set by your organization" under it. Here Ephemeral Mode is on and the save folder is fixed.

The company license
The Snapper Pro tab shows who the license is for and when it ends. There is no Subscribe button.

Questions
Does Snapper send data anywhere?
Snapper has no upload feature, so nothing is uploaded. Captures are saved on the PC or in the folder you set. The company key is checked on the PC, and your settings are read from the registry.
Does it need admin rights to install?
Not for one person. The Snapper package installs for the person who installs it. IT can also install it for every user on a PC, and that needs admin rights.
Which Windows versions are supported?
Windows 11, and Windows 10 version 1809 or later. Screen recording and GIFs need Windows 10 version 1903 or later.
What happens when the contract ends?
For the last 30 days, Snapper shows a reminder. After the end date there are 14 days of grace, and Snapper Pro keeps working. After that, Snapper Pro turns off until you renew. Screenshots keep working.
